The desert which inspired this blend was created in the 1950s by Polish pâtissier Alexandre Micka in Saint-Tropez.
It became famous when Brigitte Bardot, filming And God Created Woman, fell in love with it and suggested he name it La Tarte Tropézienne — and a legend was born.
